Summary : In 1909 a public electricity supply was installed at Skelton Park Ironstone Mine and a two-storey sub-station was constructed. It is a brick built structure with a flat concrete roof and had two ground floor chambers which held transformers. The switchgear was located on the first floor, in a room reached by a wooden external staircase. On the roof are two ventilators.
