More information : The boiler feed pump house at Skelton Park Ironstone Mine is a small horizontal engine house that was built to supply water to the new boiler plant in 1906. This pump house still was in used during the 1930s when it was known to contain a boiler feed pump and a steam driven fire pump. It is a small brick structure with a slate roof that is located to the north of the Power House, west of the remains of the boiler plant. (1) The mine is intact and the shells of the buildings are in a fairly good condition and could be converted into an industrial museum for the area. (2) |
