Summary : Built circa 1900, the timekeepers office at Skelton Park Ironstone Mine is situated at the south west end of the power house. It is a brick built structure with a slated hipped roof that was used to keep records of what staff were at work and when. The time office occupied most of the building but there is a separate room at the northern end which served as the garage for the horse-drawn ambulance. |
More information : Built in circa 1900, the timekeepers office at Skelton Park Ironstone Mine is situated at the south-west end of the power house. It is a brick built structure with a slated hipped roof that was used to keep records of what staff were at work and when. The time office occupied most of the building but there is a separate room at the northern end which served as the garage for the horse-drawn ambulance.
