FUGGLESTONE PRIORY

Dominican Friary founded in 1245 at Fugglestone; the Dominicans removed to Fisherton Anger in 1281, but the Fugglestone site was retained as a cell until its dissolution in 1538. At least some of the building was still extant when recorded by J Buckler in the early 19th century with the appearance of conversion to domestic use.
