Summary : Farm buildings east of the gatehouse. This is a substantial group of farmbuildings, the earliest is of mid 18th century date and the rest date from the 19th and 20th centuries. The older buildings form three sides of a yard that appears to have been open on the west side. The north range consists of single storey byres and a two storey stable, with haylofts over, at the east end. The east range of buildings was built against the medieval stone wall that formed part of the outer courtyard. Part of this range has been demolished but a substantial barn survives at the south end. The south range consists of a two storey store and granary, at the east end, with a single storey cartshed. |
