Summary : Barn to south west of Gidlow Hall. Five-bay barn with adjoining byre, the barn is of possible 16th century date and the byre was added in 1719. There have been further alterations and additions to the barn, the byre was altered in the late 19th century. The building is built of brick on a stone base, the roof is of slate to the front and stone slates to the rear. The barn has ventilation slots and cheeked entrances with offdets and barn doors. A later garage door has been inserted in one end with renewed brickwork above. |
