RIPLEY CASTLE

DESCRIPTION + /

Tower constructed between 1548-55. The three storey tower now forms the south west block of a larger house, built 1783-6 in Gothic Revival style. Stone-built with slate and stone roofs. The gatehouse to the south is possibly medieval in date, altered in the 16th century and again 1788-90.
