Summary : Haddockstones Farmhouse, of 19th century date, is on the site of a former medieval grange of Fountains Abbey. There are no extant remains of the grange.
More information : [SE 2715 6589] Haddockstones [T.I.] and remains of GRANGE [G.T.] (1) Haddockstones (G.T) Formerly a Grange of Fountains Abbey (st.) Part of the building is very ancient. (2) Haddockstones. Rebuilt but still has a Md. chimney. (3) A plain 19th c. farmhouse of no external interest. See GPAO/63/103/1 for S.E. aspect. (4)
