CONSTABLE BURTON HALL

DESCRIPTION + /

Country house designed by John Carr and built 1762-67, possibly on the site of a fortified house, and replacing an early 17th century house designed by Inigo Jones. The central three bays of the main front are recessed behind a projecting portico of four giant Ionic columns, approached by an imperial staircase.
