Summary : Railway station, opened by the London, Tilbury and Southend Railway on 1st May 1885. Underground services arrived here on 2nd June 1902 when Upmister became the eastern terminus of the District line when it extended its service from Whitechapel. On 30th September 1905 the District line services were withdrawn when the line east from East Ham was closed. The station re-opened to District line services on 12th September 1932 when the line east from Barking re-opened. |
