Summary : Hounslow Central opened as Heston-Hounslow on 1st April 1886 on the Hounslow and Metropolitan Railway, the District Railway's branch line from Mill Hill Park (now Acton Town). A new station building was constructed in 1910, possibly to the designs of Harry Ford. The station was renamed Hounslow Central in 1925 and was first served by Piccadilly line trains in 1933. District trains ceased operating to Hounslow Central in 1964.
