Summary : Hayes Station was opened in 1864 on the Great Western Railway, some time after the main wave of station building had ended in 1841. In 1883 'underground' rail services arrived when the District Railway introduced a short-lived extension to Windsor from Ealing Broadway over the tracks of the Great Western Railway. This service was withdrawn in 1885. The word 'Harlington' was added to the name in 1897. The station buildings were modernised in 1962. |
