Summary : Hanwell station was built on the Great Western Railway in 1838. Underground services arrived here in 1883 when the District Railway introduced a short-lived extension to Windsor from Ealing Broadway over the tracks of the Great Western Railway. This service was withdrawn in 1885. The station was modernised in 1981.
