Summary : A former of railway station on the Essendine and Bourne Railway, opened in 1860 and closed in 1951. The old station house is now a private house (since 1968). The station was known as Braceborough Spa Halt after 1934 when it closed to passengers and the staff were withdrawn. When it was a functioning station it was known simply as Braceborough Spa. The private residence is now known as Spa Halt, and is marked on Ordnance Survey maps as Station House. The platform with its end ramp now forms part of the garage and its driveway. |
More information : The old station house is now a private house (since at least 2009). The present dwelling is now known as Braceborough Spa Halt but it is thought that when it was a functioning station that it was known simply as Braceborough Spa Station. (1)
