Summary : Site of railway station on the Aylesbury and Buckingham Railway, opened in 1868. Underground services arrived here in 1891 when the Metropolitan bought out the failed railway company and ran a service from Aylesbury to Verney Junction; through trains between Baker Street and Verney Junction arrived in 1897. Metropolitan train ceased to link Aylesbury with Verney Junction after 6th July 1936. |
