More information : (TF 0290 0666) Railway Station of the Midland Railway Company was designed by Sancton Wood and completed in June 1848. The station buildings have coursed and square rubble walls and consist of a single-storey range with station master's house of two storeys and attics to the west; they are designed in plain Tudor style. the various waiting rooms have pointed windows and are provided with parapeted gables, an octagonal turret and tall chimney stacks.
