Very large courtyard surrounded by mainly 2-storeyed range of small rooms. Stone with eaves to stone roof. Rusticated piers support 1st floor gallery with Doric colonnade and plain iron balustrade. Arcaded basement to East due to slope of ground. Arched carriage entrances to the north, South and West last with bell turret topped by octagonal dome and weather vane. South entrance has elaborate C19 east iron gates. Plain blind exterior, except for pediments to West and North gateways Latter also having paired Doric pilasters and crowning urn. North front arcaded (partly concealed by buildings). The premises are now used as a vegetable market and the courtyard is cluttered with a number of structures, mostly of timber. A.M.
