Summary : A possible Roman drain of sandstone slabs, Roman pottery and oyster shells may indicate the site of a bath house or villa. Though this site may be connected with villa complex SZ 89 NE 1.
More information : (SZ 8559 9680) Possible Ro drain of 2" sandstone slabs, oyster shells and RB sherds in wet marshy trench 15' W of centre of new road. (1) A possible connection with the Ro villa site (SZ 89 NE 1) (2) Much black earth and oyster shells evident but nothing further seen. (3) WS 82 Listed as the possible site of a Roman villa/bath house. (4)
