Summary : Site of a Bronze Age round barrow, excavated in 1919 by Harold St George Gray. It had been mutilated by earlier, unrecorded excavations, and Gray was unable to find any trace of burials. The only finds (now in Taunton Museum) comprised a flint knife, some scrapers and a borer. Ordnance Survey Field Investigation in 1954 recorded the barrow as a heather-covered mound 12 metres in diameter and 0.6 metres high, with no visible ditch. |

Barrow 11 (Gray's barrow G) 12m in diameter, 0.6-0.7m high. Mutilated by earlier excavations, therefore no structural details could be determined. Gray's excavations found no traces of burials, finds recovered include a flint knife, scrapers and a borer. (5) |
