Summary : An earthwork which has been suggested to represent a Bronze Age round barrow. It was excavated in 1922 by Harold St George Gray, who found nothing of archaeological significance other than a few flints (now in Taunton Museum) and suggested that it was a natural feature (although the presence of a natural mound amid a group of barrows may itself be of significance). Ordnance Survey field investigation in 1969 noted a heather-covered mound, mutilated on the north side. |
