Summary : Two Bronze Age bowl barrows surviving as earthworks.

SD 756 603. Two round barrows S of Brown Hill farm, scheduled. (2)

Both of these mounds are large, some 5.0 m - 6.0 m high and
25.0 m diam. They are located in a level marshy valley bottom,
and are almost certainly natural features. The area is now within
a Forestry Commission plantation.

Surveyed on 1:10 000 MSD. (3)

SD 7561 6035. Bowl barrow W of Brown Hills Beck. Scheduled RSM No
23713. An oval earthen mound up to 8m high with maximum dimensions
of 25m x 15m. Its long axis is aligned along the valley.

SD 7565 6025. Bowl barrow E of Brown Hills Beck. Scheduled RSM No
23714. An oval earthen mound up to 10m high with maximum dimensions
of 40m x 30m. Its long axis is aligned along the valley. (4)
