BRIDGE [G.T.] (1)

Whalley Bridge: 'This bridge appears quite modern, but the core
of the bridge is ancient and has three wide ribs under two of the
three semicicular arches. This part of the bridge is only 10 feet
in width but has twice been widened downstream and once on the
opposite side'. (2)
