More information : A mutilated stone cross stands on a pile of masonry against the east wall of the churchyard by the south east corner of St Thomas' church. It was discovered in the lower portion of the chancel wall when the church was rebuilt in 1869-70. Height 3 ft 6 ins, probable width of head when complete 1 ft 7 ins, width of shaft 1 ft 3 ins and thickness 6 ins. (1-3) The remains of a wheel headed cross situated at SX 32808505, as described and measured by Ellis. Positioned at 1:2500 on MSD. (4)
