Summary : Site of a Bronze Age barrow and probable site for a medieval/post medieval beacon.

The site of a large and perfect barrow extant in 1823 but later
levelled. No finds are reported.

The barrow, on the highest point in the area, is said to have been
the site of a beacon. The field is named "Beacon Park". (2-3)
