More information : [SX 1831 8034] Tumulus (NR) (1) A cairn 15.0m in diameter and approximately 0.8m high; it has been badly mutilated and a small stone shelter now occupies part of the top.
Resurveyed at 1:2500 on PFD. (2) Noted. (3) Depicted on NMR Bodmin Moor AP transcription. (4) On a hilltop situation at 329m above OD in an expanse of well grazed pasture and close to the large BA settlement of Leskernick (SX 17 NE 21).
A very ruined cairn with an overall diameter of 15m, and 0.4m to 0.8m high. About 2m within the perimeter of half a dozen stones, paired and spaced, indicate a former retaining circle with a diameter of 11m. A further 3m within this there appears to be another circle cum retaining wall of inward leaning slabs enclosing an area 5m in diameter.
A shelter, 3.5m across and 0.7m high, has been constructed on the NE quadrant, presumably using stone robbed from the cairn.
In poor condition. Surveyed at 1:2500. (5)
