ST NUNS CHAPEL AND HOLY WELL

DESCRIPTION + /

A chapel and a holy well of St Non or Nonita lay in a field called "Sennaunter" or "St Naunter" at Trevillick. Tonkin, in 1730, referred to a ruined chapel and well dedicated to St Naunter or Nonnio at Trevellick. The chapel is mentioned in a chantry certificate of 1549. A small arch inscribed "found at St Naunter" is built into a barn at Trevillick (SW 93844922). There are no visible remains of the chapel or holy well, but the small, window archhead is still at Trevillick in the barn.
