TULKETH ABBEY

Site of Tulketh Abbey, the first Savigniac house founded in England. It was founded by Stephen, Count of Boulogne, later King of England. However, it was transferred to Furness in 1127. The abbey lies in the grounds of the now deserted Tulketh Hall.
