A large well-preserved homestead moat, probably the site of the
Md. manor house of East Sutton, situated in a shallow re-entrant
on the southern slopes, 250.0m. to the SE of the Elizabethan mansion
of East Sutton Park (see TQ 84 NW 12).
It is part waterfilled and has retaining banks on the W and S.
There is an inner rampart, and an entrance causeway at the NE
corner. (2)
