Summary : Possible Medieval fishpond. A large apparently natural pond close to the friary buildings, which could have been used for a fish pond, but is now an ornamental feature. The western end has been filled in by tipping waste gravel. There are remains of a feeding channel running from the river, controlled by a sluice, thus making it a tidal pond.
