Summary : The upstanding and buried remains of the College of All Saints. The standing structures date mainly from the late 14th century, with some evidence for 16th and 18th century alterations.

A College attached to All Saints' Church, Maidstone, [see TQ 75 NE 40] was built in 1395/8 and the main surviving building consists of the Gatehouse, and, to the west of it, the Refectory, Kitchen and Scullery, with the Dormitory and Infirmary above. It now forms two
residences. A gateway to the south is in ruins. (2)

Description correct. Gatehouse and adjoining buildings are in
good condition. The ruined gateway is kept in good repair.

The College Gateway (All Saints Parish Room). The College Tower,
Listed Grade I. Archbishop Courtenay was licensed to build a Collegiate Church in 1395. He died in 1396 and the building was continued by Archbishop Arundel in 1396-1398.

'The College', originally the Masters House to the college, is 14th century with 18th century alterations. Built of Kentish Ragstone: 2 storeys and attics. Listed Grade II*. (4)
