Summary : Late C14/early C15 moated manor, demolished between 1924-65.
More information : The former existence of a moat at TQ 74054935 was noted by the Hon. H.Hannen in 1905. The moat enclosed a house, known locally as
'Bonfleurs' and shown on the Ordnance Survey map of the period as
'Burnt Flowers' (TQ 74054935) (2) and a large barn. The house, a late14th century or early 15th century building, was demolished sometime
between 1924 and 1965. (1,2)
