More information : The Prior of Lancaster had a grange in the manor of Poulton by a grant of 1316. (The name of Poulton has, since the opening of the railway, been superseded by Morcambe which now applies to the whole township) (1) No information regarding the site of this grange was discovered during field investigation. (2)
