Summary : A Roman altar measuring 10" by 22" was found about 1811 in the garden wall of John Ford adjoining the Vicarage Fields. It is now in Lancaster Museum.

on capital and base and left side dressed off to form a building-stoneOn the right side in relief is a sacrificial knife with three
mouldings of the capital and four of the base surviving. Found about
1811 in the garden-well of John Ford adjoining the Vicarage Fields,
Lancaster; in 1817 taken by him to Yealand Conyers, and in 1933
