LANCASTER PRIORY

Benedictine alien priory dependent on Seez was founded by Roger of Poitou circa 1094 for a prior, 5 monks, 3 priests, 2 clerks, and servants. It was in the king's hands in 1324-5, and was dissolved in 1428, after which it became a possession of Syon. No extant remains.
