More information : Fragments of Ro. pottery, including some Samian, flue tiles, and remains of a human jaw bone, found in 1880 at the Sewage Works, Franks Paddock, are in store in Maidstone Museum: presented by P. Ashenden per Mr. Waring (a). Franks Paddock, part of the estate of Franks, Farningham, (see TQ 56 NE 20) is centred at TQ 5535 6775, but the Estate Manager, Mr. Buckland, stated that there has never been a sewage works in the area. No further information could be gained during fieldwork. (This almost certainly refers to TQ 56 NE 4). (1)
