Summary : Site of the Holborn Dominican Friary in Chancery Lane, founded in 1221 when the first 3 Dominicans to arrive in England settled there. The first steps to transfer to the Ludgate site (TQ38SW473) were taken in 1275, although the friars probably remained after that date. The site was sold in 1286.
