Stratford-at-Bow or Bromley. St Leonard's Priory. The earliest authentic record seems to be 1122. King Stephen's daughter Mary and other nuns appear to have joined the community but after disagreements they moved circa 1148 to Higham. There were thirty nuns at Stratford-by-Bow in 1354. Dissolved 1536. (2)
