More information : Bronze pin of Roman type found in "Friday's Well", (a small pool, formed by the collection of surface water in a depression on Barpham Hill, at TQ 06500986 - from plan opp p 1. (1)

The above-given siting falls within an area of woodland upon
the top of Barhpam Hill. Nothing of interest was noted in the
accessible parts of the wood, apart from a small and a large
pit, probably dug for flints, and measuring in diameter approx
3.0m and 8.0m respectively - the latter perhaps 'Friday's Well'. (2)
