TOFT MONKS PRIORY

Benedictine alien priory founded in the reign of William II when the Church of St Margaret and its endowments were granted to the Abbey of St Pierre, Preaux. The prior acted as the proctor of the English estates of the abbey. Suppressed in 1414 when it was granted to Witham Priory, but it was transferred to King's College, Cambridge, in 1462. There are no extant remains.
