A small cremation cemetery of Iron Age and Roman date found
1946-7 when digging graves in the new part of the modern
cemetery. Iron Age pottery dated BC 10 to AD 10 and the
Roman is 1st to 2nd century. Finds in Colchester Museum. Site
pointed out on the ground by the Cemetery Superintendent. (2-6)
