Five Roman kilns numbered 7 to 11 excavated by Joslin in 1877,
two of which were the horizontal draughttype. No. 7 was a
large rectangular kiln possibly intendedfor tiles but had been
used for pottery. (Siting in (1). confirmed from plan). (2-3)
