Summary : A former windmill dating to 1855 of 3 storeys in an octagonal plan. It was converted to a dwelling in the 20th century.

Highfield Mill was a large post mill with a three-storey base, built by William Bear in 1855. It had four patent sails, four pairs of stones, a domed cap with a gallery and fantail, and a stage at the second floor level. It ceased work in the Great War and was pulled down in 1919. The base has been converted into a house. (Photo 1977) (2)
