Swinside stone circle known as Sunken Kirk, consists of 55 stones, is of 90ft. diam., with a gap to the southeast. Excavations by trenching took place in March 1901, no finds were reported and there were no traces of a ditch or pavement. Scheduled. [See AO/63/183/1] (2-4)
The circle is in good condition consisting of stones from 5 to 10ft. high. (5)
