MONUMENT NO. 36905

DESCRIPTION + /

A series of hollow-ways or parkhorse ways visible as earthworks near Bat's Castle in Dunster Park. They appear to pre-date the deer park (first recorded in 1279) and probably went out of use with the emparking in 1755. Field investigations by RCHME staff in 1998 found the earthworks averaging 3 metres in width and 0.8 metres deep.
