Summary : The church of St Mary was granted to St Evroul Abbey before 1231 and became the conventual church of Ware Priory (TL31SE4) until 1414. It appears that the church was entirely rebuilt in the 13th century, the chancel and transepts being of that period. The West tower was added in the 14th century and the arcades renewed in the 15th century.
