Roman earthen barrow situated 380 metres north of Hill Farm on the crest of Chesterton Hill south of the remains of the Roman town Durobrivae. The mound is a substantial earthwork with a flat platform top. Its profile indicates a 0.6 metres top layer added for later reuse, possibly as a Medieval mill mound. The mound may also have been reused in various periods as a Roman signal station and a Medieval beacon. Scheduled.
