This barn belonged to Boroughbury, a moated grange of Peterborough Abbey and was manorial and not a tithe barn. (2)

The old Great Glebe barn, commonly known as the Tithe Barn stood for more than 600 years in Boroughbury. In 1889 it was sold by the Ecclesiastical Commissioners (3)

Mr Tebbs a local historian indicated the site of the barn as being under the Elives Hall (TL19179926), and stated that the Manor House stood at TL 19139917. (4)
