Summary : Remains of the grange of St Michael's Priory, Stamford were still visible in the 18th century, but have since disappeared. After the Dissolution, part of the remains were used as a dovecote.
More information : The remains of the grange and chapel of Blofield in Warmington (Name TL0891) were visible in the farmhouse there in Bridges' time; they consisted of "arched windows and a chamber at the west end, now a dovehouse, called the Chapel Chamber. "(a)The land was given to the nuns of St Michael's Priory, Stamford, in the 12thc (b). (1) Local enquiries proved negative. The architectural features were not identified. (2)
