BISCOT WINDMILL

ALTERNATIVE NAME:  BISCOTT LONG BARROW, BISCOT LONG BARROW, BISCOTT WINDMILL

Windmill used for grinding corn, built 1844. Erected on the site of an earlier mill shown on a map of 1711 which burnt down in 1841. Alleged to be on the site of a long or oval barrow, two greenstone axes have been found nearby.
