CHURCH OF ST MARY

Parish church. 15th century nave and inner chancel, outer chancel added and tower rebuilt mid 19th century. Local stone coursed rubble 19th century work, earlier parts roughcast, 3 separate slate roofs, no coped verges, decorative ridge tiles. West tower, 3-bay
nave, one bay inner chancel, one bay outer chancel. Norman font. The church has an historical association with RD Blackmore and attracts visitors in connection with "Lorna Doone".
